Dubai

I was very fortunate to start work in Dubai on a new dive centre at the prestigious Atlantis, The Palm hotel on The Palm, Jumeirah in Dubai. Working with Kate, Kit, Anita and Arita for Jason and Peter we were all excited to set up something new.

The facility was wonderful; twin octagonal pools for training, the first of which was split-level for beginner training, while the second had a small makeshift submarine wreck placed in it.

Outside we had our own shore dive sites along the Intake Pipes and Monorail Supports, and for boat diving we had own jetty with two twin-engine boats to take customers out to sea for some diving at some of Dubai's wrecks.

We would also conduct try-dives in any of the hotel's three pools, and the boats were also used for sunset cruises and fishing trips.
