OceanQuest

For my third Great Barrier Reef liveaboard I opted for a different boat again; OceanQuest. This trip started on a day trip boat to the Norman Reef and Saxon Reef, then we changed boats out at sea to head up to the Ribbon Reefs on the liveaboard.

June and July is Dwarf Minke Whale season in the Great Barrier Reef; I'd never been in the water with whales and, although sightings or "interactions" are never guaranteed, we did have in-water encounters and these creatures were truly fascinating.
