Taka

The Taka liveaboard was a 4-day/4-night exploration up the Ribbon Reefs, almost all the way up to Lizard Island. This was my first experience on the Great Barrier Reef, and it was a fantastic way to start! We had a couple of dives at Steve's Bommie, Lighthouse Bommie and Challenger Bay, which are some of the most popular dive sites along the Ribbon Reefs. Right at the northern end of the trip we had an encounter with giant Potato Cod too.

Taka has since been sold and no longer operates in the Great Barrier Reef.
