Exmouth

A long way from anywhere, Exmouth in north-west Western Australia is home to daily Whaleshark swim and snorkel boat day trips. It's well organised; pilots in spotter planes find the Whalesharks, they radio to the boats where they are and where they're heading, the boat captain positions the boat in the Whaleshark's path, you and your group jump in, the boat moves away, and your group splits to the sides of the Whaleshark when it approaches you. A magnificent experience!
